Moving past mountains and megaphones


There is currently a divide between how we look at tax and there are several questions to address. What does responsible tax look like? What are the main drivers of tax planning and how far is planning legitimate? How can countries compete on tax? Is there fair and unfair competition? How do we avoid a race to the bottom? What does transparency really call for? What transparency will improve accountability and public understanding? Is tax a moral issue? This conversation needs to include people from all different parts of civil society, including businesses, media, law, government, politics, NGOs, and academics.
